" Imagining Europe” is an interdisciplinary Network in philosophical, cultural-historical and inter-mediatic studies, under the sponsorship of the Department for Education and Culture of the European Commission. The “Imagining Europe” project is part of the Socrates/Erasmus programme. It  is co-ordinated by the University of Urbino.

The Association/Study Centre of the same name was created in 1999 as a framework for international co-operation between universities, research institutes, cultural organisations and libraries.

Its purpose is to shape a European identity and citizenship open to worldwide friendship, through research activities and the organisation of meetings and cultural projects.
